This is one of my all time favorite pattern to tie . It requires a little bit of patients but it's still quite easy to tie .
Materials
Hook
Pheasant Tail
Copper Wire
Dubbing / Ice Dub
I am using a TMC 200R hook #14 . Dress the hook with the thread a little bit over the hook bend .
Tie in some pheasant tail fibers and some copper wire.Bring the thread forward and be sure to create a taper as you go.
Wrap the fiber forward and wrap the copper wire the opposite way to protect the fibers.
Tie in some more pheasant tail fibers for the wing case and start putting in some dub for the thorax .
Pull the tip of the tail fibers down as legs .
Pull the remaining fibers forward as the wing case and whip finish . That's it . A fly that works for most species of fish .
Happy Tying ;)
